I've always found photography interesting
but never got serious about it until 2 years
ago when I bought my first D-SLR. |

I played with my dad's film camera when I was a kid. Then
my first digital was a
Kodak equipped with 1.1 MP about 10 years ago. Sure It didn't have high
resolution but it did bring me lots of fun and joy. I Didn't have much
knowledge about photography but who cares, I just click, click, click.
After
2 years, I decided to upgrade to a better & smaller camera,
then I
picked up a Canon S200. It was small, aluminum body and 2 MP, wow...2MP
compare to 1.1MP.
I absolutely loved this camera and literally took it everywhere I went.
I rarely printed out my pictures so 2MP was more than enough for a while
until I
needed a better camera and a better zoom which I could use a manual mode
to take pictures of
my lovely orchids. The Kodak Dx6490, 4MP, 10X zoom was
the
choice. The pictures that came out from this camera where just amazing
and I used it
for a while then I saw the Canon 350D XT about 3 years ago. |
I just went crazy about photography and
have a constant craving to learn. I searched on the internet and first
joined the Manitoba Camera Club. I did learn a lot from there but then
one day I met Dan... He was doing a presentation to the Manitoba Camera
Club and introducing the WPG Photo Club to the members there. I joined
the club in Feb 2006. The first club shoot I participated in was to Grand
Beach to do Starscapes, I had tons of fun and also I got my first northern
light photos (thanks Dan). |

| I am currently shooting with a Canon 30D and love the camera.
Photography helps me to see more abd think more wherever I
go. Thanks to
Dan, the WPG Photo Club & it's members, you guys make me a better photographer
and I
will keep learning from you guys. |
